Please enact the proposed amendment to 4VAC10-30-170, for the otherwise lawful carry of firearms and ammunition in our state forests. This amendment brings state forests into alignment with state parks, national parks, and national forests. I no longer feel safe in our parks because of several events that have happened where had the victims been armed they might have been able to protect themselves.

We pay a lot of money for these state and national areas. Our taxes pay for them and for many jobs they afford. We should be able to exercise all of our rights when visiting the property we own.
