I am writing to address my support for the proposed amendment to 4VAC10-30-170, which allows for the otherwise lawful carry of firearms and ammunition in state forests! This amendment brings state forests into alignment with state parks, national parks, and national forests. As staunch believer in the right to bear arms, I believe the proposed amendment goes a long way to restoring a natural right which was intended to be protected by the not only the Constitution of the Commonwealth as well as the U.S. Constitution.
