Mold Licensing Regulations

The proposed mold licensing regulations would not provide any uniformity in good mold remediation work practices, sampling, and acceptable clearances.  Currently the proposed regulations defer techniques on remediation work practices, sampling and clearances to the training providers.  So depending on which training provider you attend and their recommendations, you can have potentially numerous clearance criteria.

Although I feel the proposed regulation will be ineffective, the following are my recommendations:

I recommend trained mold remediator supervisors, workers and mold inspectors working on their own facilities are allowed to train other individuals in their organization on safe mold remediation work practices.

I recommend individuals performing work on their own facility are not required to be licensed and individuals working.
