Please do not have SNAP Certification periods changed back to 6 months !  The agencies cannot absorb the extra appointments.  Currently, our Benefit Program Specialists are over -booked with appointments and do not have the necessary time to process the cases because of the increased applications. Many of our renewal appointments do not show up for their first scheduled appointment wasting valuable interview time.  Our agency simply cannot handle the increased interviews going to 6 month cer period would bring. We need to find ways to help local agencies absorb the increased caseloads -- a 6 month certification period would take agencies in the wrong direction increasing the amount of work.
