Although the interim report process is not perfect it is a far better option than six month certifications. The interim report allows an EW more to perform other job functions such new application processing, monthly Medicaid reviews, and the numerous case changes.  The interview process is time consuming and adding more recertifications monthly will simply add more work (stress) to an already overloaded  workforce.
