As I read through most of the comments, I have to say I agree with alot of what was said. I really think wheather you decide to have 6 month renewals or interims you will still have that back and forth paperwork and issues about benefits not being available on the 1st. of the month.  Keeping interims with better procedures is best for the people we serve.  In this economic times, we are seeing  working families that need to keep their jobs and taking a day off to come into DSS for an interview creates more of  a hardship on them (which they do not need at this time.) Not to mention, telephone interviews are still a local option, so what one locaility may do is not what another locality does creating more confusion and inconsistencies statewide.
