Richmond City currently has 25,822 SNAP households. Approximately 1000 customers use our address stating that they are homeless. Very few of our customers pick-up their interim reports causing our lobby to be filled on the first of the month with customers in need of their benefits.  Our staff struggles monthly with this cumbersome process and this has been reflected in our error rate. The amount of time our staff spends on the interim process far exceeds the benefits. Also, the process is costly for local agencies in postage and supplies. I recommend six-month cretifications.
