It is my opinion and view that we need to keep the interim process.  If we go to 6 months certification the workload will increase for Benefit Program Specialists and it will be a confusion to our clients.  The interim is a simple way to have clients review what we have as current information and advise if anything has changed.  With the slump in economy and the increased caseloads, we need ways to ease the strain on ourselves and our clients.  Another application instead of simply checking change or no change is a huge stumbling block for those with learning disabilities and elderly (some had less opportunity for their education as children).  Please keep our interims so that we can quickly and effectively help our clients!!  Thanks for your attention.
