As a former Va Tech Extension Agent, past President of the Virginia Seedman's Assoc, former Director of the Virginia Turfgrass Council, and with 30 years experience in turfgrass management I disagree with this proposal. Mr. Whitmere has presented a valid and compelling case. While the recommendations may look good on paper, the recommendations ignore validated research. The implementaion of said recommendations would be a great hindrance to turfgrass managers resulting in a negative impact on the environment.
