Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |

To whom it may concern:
I understand that the Virginia Department of Forestry is currently accepting public comment on the proposed amendment to Virginia State Forest Regulation 4VAC10-30-170, which would allow concealed carry permit holders the ability to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense in Virginia's state forests. As a concealed carry perment holder (CCPH) in the Commonwealth I believe that this should be done.
All permit holders go through a background check, finger printing and training before being issued a permit. They are not the ones that should be punished or put in jepordy while traveling through a state park. Please pass this regulation and give liberty and the second amendment back to the law abiding residents of the Commonwealth.
