Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |
Stage | Proposed |

Hello,
I am just writing to notify you of my support for allowing concealed carry permit holders to not have to worry about whether they have crossed into a state forest. i spend a lot of time in out states forests- shooting, backpacking, camping, and just enjoying the scenery. i am generally doing something in the forest once or twice a week.
The annoyance of having to worry whether one is suddenly in state land or not and having to unholster and reholster ones pistol is both a severe inconvenience and totally unnecessary. if the reason for not allowing concealed carry in forests is to stop off-season hunting (or peaching, as I soppose you would call it) there is really no need. if someone wants to do that then they will, and a forest ranger would not be able to see their firearm anyway.
Again, I am writing this in support of amending our laws to allow concealed carry in State Forests.
Thank you and have a good day,
