Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |
Stage | Proposed |

I respectfully urge the Virginia Department of Forestry to not infringe the right of ciizens to keep and bear arms under the both the U.S. and Virginia constitutions.
CHP holders should not be disarmed, of all places, in remote areas. Although there may be arguments in areas where there is armed security (like courthouses), there can be no argument for disarming CHP holders in the wild.
CHP holders undergo a background check, mandatory training, and have been shown to be more responsible with handguns than the public or the police.
