Dear Virginia Department of Forestry,
It is my opinion that concealed carry should be allowed in VA forests. Each person has a fundamental right to self defense not only from rabid or aggressive animals but also from criminals. Further, unless one has a ranger travelling along with them at each and every moment, there is no way anyone could possibly respond quickly enough to render help when called. Although open carry would suffice for one in the woods, concealed carry is much more discreet avoiding unnecessary situations.
I thank you for allowing such comment.
Sincerely yours,
Greg Blackburn
