We need infrastructure

Dear Governor,

As you are probably aware, solar energy works best in small applications. Installing at 1500 acre solar "farm" in undeveloped raw, hilly and rocky ground is irresponsible  and certainly not best practice. Southside VA will not benefit from this project. There are no long term jobs for us in this project.  There is no energy benefit for us local residents, only the loss of wild undeveloped raw woodland and the degradation of an Environmentally protected river, the North Meherrin. I live on this river, as do many birds, fish and other wildlife. Let us be frank, Southsides best attribute is our access to natural woodlands. We do not have the infrastructure to support such  project and no benefits to be gained as a community. This project will be a source of income for four parties: Red Brick and the three County supervisors who own the land in question. This is a dirty back door deal, and the county is currently being sued. Please do your due diligence and investigate for yourself. But, in no way, in no uncertain terms does the project benefit our community.
