While all the rage right now, solar and wind have a number of hidden cost that are not publicized.  Solar requires rare metals that mostly come from China and have a disposal problem.  Wind turbines have a high energy cost to build, kill numerous birds, and also have a disposal problem.  Both have reliability issues., no Sun or wind during high demand periods can be problematic.  Nuclear and Natural Gas are both clean and reliable.
