If we have no choice but to stop using fossil fuels, and that's a big if, I think nuclear is the only way. Wind stops, sun only good for daytime, not effective under really cloudy conditions. Nuclear is the only way. Fossil fuel should not be phased out at all until we have  a 100% effective replacement. And I do mean 100%.
