Strongly oppose model policies

Not a day goes by that I am not thankful for the education our children received in Fairfax County Public Schools.  My husband and I moved to Virginia from Wyoming and have treasured the diversity that was celebrated in schools - diversity of thought, background, opinions, identity, experience.  We are uncomfortable with the vague "sexually explicit content" referenced in the model policies.  This will exclude large swaths of students, and diminish the richness of our public education.  Our strength lies in our ability to appreciate the diversity of our population and unite in the common good.

Thank you.
