Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
As an educator, I know how important it is for students to find support and understanding through literature. Books that support LGBTQ+ students should be available and encouraged. People's prejudices should be kept out of education.
