FCPS parent. Educational materials are currently appropriate and have been for the entire time my two children have been in school system. My daughter has AP literature this year and that is completely appropriate time for adult themes such as in Beloved (and it’s an amazing work that shows the legacy of slavery and dehumanization of people). Our kids need diverse voices and they also are disgusted by the LGBTQ bigotry in these new  policies. Keep your small minded and mean spirited bigotry out of our schools. I disagree strongly with these proposed policies.
