Parental rights

I support these model policies that ensure parental rights to be notified about, have the opportunity to preview, and have the opportunity to choose alternatives for sexually explicit materials. These policies do not prevent the use of any appropriate materials, such as important novels in high school; they only provide parents be notified of any sexual content, which is appropriate. If anything, I wish the policies went further in prohibiting all sexually explicit content from elementary instructional materials (outside of Family Life Education).
