Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content

I support these policies that protect children from inappropriate sexual content at school. The rights of parents must be respected so that they can protect their children from such content. Parents are in the best position to decide what is appropriate for their children. Schools must not expose children to sexually explicit materials. These kinds of materials have no place in our educational system. School districts and boards should be instructed not to allow these materials in schools or in the curriculum. Teachers should be strictly advised that these materials are prohibited.
