Parents have the right to know if any sexual content is being shown to their child. There is

no need for any Other class than Family life to be providing students with sexual explicit materials. FLE materials are available for parents to view and opt students out of if they choose. . Teachers are NOT trained to have these conversations with students and it is not the place of any teacher nor  should they be put in that position. Teachers should teach subject content. This does not take away from a teachers ability to be accepting or inclusive. They can build strong relationships with students without sexual explicit content which is inappropriate for a classroom setting without parental consent.
