Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
Teachers should be trusted to choose content that is appropriate for their classes. By passing this bill, kids and teenagers mature enough to handle sensitive content will miss out on diverse and important literature.
