Please ensure that all students are given the tools to understand and treat everyone with courtesy, dignity, and respect regardless of whether others are just like me or just like you. Please teach kids and young adults to be open to others and to try to understand who they are and why they feel the way they feel, that there is nothing wrong with their feelings and that there is no right way to feel, that being white is not somehow superior to POC just as being one sexual orientation is not better than the other.
