Sen Bill 656 VDOE Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content

I support SB 656. Virginia's public schools should partner with parents when setting standards for curriculum, reading material and discipline. Any changes to standards of teaching should require notification to the parents with the ability to review and comment on materials that are morally and ethically questionable. It is a common sense approach. Parents should always be involved with their children's education. Especially sexual, racial and political material that goes beyond the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic.
