I urge strong support for Senate Bill 656. The family is the cornerstone of society and must be supported at all costs. Parents have the God given right to make decisions for their children because they are in the best position to know what is in the best interest of their children.

Parents - not teachers, nor school boards, nor government officials have the right to determine what sexual content is permissible for their children to be exposed to. Sexual indoctrination or gender based discussions of any type have no place in public schools and parents must be notified before any sexually explicit exposure occurs.

Any sexually explicit materials must first be viewed and approved by each parent before children are exposed to such material. At the very least, explicitly defined and documented criteria should be used to rate all such material and be reviewed and approved by all parents before their children are exposed to them.
