By way of background my daughter attended Kindergarten through Sixth Grade at what was then called Faith Baptist Church Christian Academy. They used the A Beka Curriculum produced by Pensacola Christian College.  We could not afford one of the Richmond area private schools so my wife and I home schooled our daughter using the regionally accredited full service version of A Beka Academy.  We had been aware of a great deal of misbehavior - on the part of some students and even some staff members in our local school system.  We also wanted our daughter to receive some Bible based, Christian instruction, in a safe environment, hence our decision.  Anyway, our daughter, at various times during her courses, received appropriate instruction about life matters.  My wife and I - particularly my wife - filled in the few gaps of information and our daughter knows all that she has needed to know about various life matters.  We all feel that there is too much emphasis on sexual matters in our society, particularly in education, and not enough emphasis on needed academic and life skills.  And, frankly, with all the information available via the Internet, these days, if a young person or adult is curious about some sexually related matters then there are many online websites available, some which are well done and worthwhile and some, um, er, "not so worthwhile", which one can look up in order to obtain any desired information. Unless some young person wants to become a "sex worker" (hopefully not!) the education which they receive should provide them with life skills which they will need without concern about "sexually explicit content".
