I support these critically important model policies in order to protect children from inappropriate sexual content at school and to respect parents’ right to determine whether their children are exposed to this content. Parents are entrusted with the nurture and care of their children by God and know their own children better than educational professionals who divide their time amongst many children. Parents, then, are in a better position to make decisions about when children are ready to learn sexual content. It is arrogant and uncaring to pretend that "professionals" are somehow more capable of making these decisions. Education degree programs don't include anything that might even remotely equip teachers or administrators, and, as noted above, they don't know individual children well enough to impose their political agendas.
