Teaching phonics in a mask is so counterproductive.  These children are suffering academically and will continue to fall behind because of things like this mask. They can't hear me, unless I use the MICROPHONE I purchased with my own money. To fully grasp phonetic principles, they need to be able to see my mouth for lip and tongue placement in order to correctly form and make letter sounds. 

I am unable to breathe. I have had a daily headache for over a year now.  I never had migraines or headaches until I had to wear a mask. If my students can have a choice,  I should be able to have one too!
