We need to have teachers who will be amazing teachers to ALL students! Every single student deserves to feel seen and appreciated in the classroom. By having teachers who understand and appreciate our various cultural backgrounds, EVERY student will feel welcome in schools! We all need teachers who know how to treat their students with respect and teach their students to respect one another. I completely support a cultural competency training requirement for all staff.
