Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

No to CRT in Virginia Schools

CRT is a tool designed by the enemy of America to keep our citizens divided.  Under CRT everyone is either a victim, who can’t be successful because of circumstances beyond their  control, or a repressor, whose success is never earned but given, also due to circumstances beyond their control.  Neither of these ideas are true.  The truth is that America was not founded on the ideals of slavery, but rather on the most revolutionary idea of all, that all people are born free, with God given rights that are not granted by, nor can they be removed by the government.  Every nation that ever existed anywhere in the world up to that point, had slavery.  America was the first nation to establish a constitution that would end slavery.  No it didn’t happen instantly, because it takes time to change attitudes and convince people to build a new and better system of government, but without America that may never have happened.  There are many areas in the US where gang violence, poverty, and drug use (among other things) stand as obstacles to success, and the local governments that allow this to continue absolutely need to be held accountable, but to teach future generations that America is inherently raciest is not only false, but intentionally destructive!
