Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

CRT training for teachers

Teachers should be kept current on math and factual science not opinions and social justice training

should be free to live out their faith which promotes love and kindness to all people

which God has created with specific strengths and weaknesses

to help nurture the strengths and grow in those areas using their gifts to help others and our world. Realize we all have weaknesses also being an encouraging force to keep the students striving even when they may have struggles, never give up on well doing for in the proper time you will have a harvest

color and ethnicity shouldn’t determine outcome

the prejudice of low expectations is sinful

training for teachers should be in more hands on learning strategies

and applications to the material so students retain knowledge and not just memorize for tests

so no CRT or equity training will provide what teachers need to make the above a reality

the students need to want to learn more than we want them to

they need to own it or it will just be a excercise to prove they are righteous

which is prideful and not helping the learning

just make the leaders feel good but detrimental to t(e kids
