Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

NO to CRT being taught in our schools!

Pushing CRT on our children will only foster greater divisiveness for race relations.  Politicians and the so called news media have set race relations back 70 years.  CRT only continues to perpetuate the damage and offers absolutely no benefit to anyone, regardless of race.  Race relations had reached a very amicable point by the early 2000’s, but meddling politicians and their lap dog news media propaganda machine decided to drive a wedge into race relations in order to use it to their advantage.  We must not buy into this nonsense!  Please do not add CRT to our children’s school curriculum!
