Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

Our Kids Need An EDUCATION, Not Indoctrination

After Virginia Democrats and the Virginia Teacher's Association kept our children out of the classroom for over a YEAR in some districts, our children are already at a disadvantage and struggling to get back to 'normal' learning. Grades are down, testing is down, kids are unhappy, and teachers keep asking for more time off. The LAST THING our legislators should be concerned about is CRT or politics in these classrooms. Our kids need reading, writing, math, REAL history, science, civics, etc ... No more dividing kids based on skin color, no more telling one group they are oppressed while the others are oppressors. No more.

Get back to basics. Our kids need that more than ever.
