NOT in favor!

NOT in favor! First of all, why is UVA Human Resources so secretive in it’s language in being out front with what this is really all about – allowing the partners of same sex employees the same benefits as legally married adults. And then, to use the line of “everyone else is doing it” to justify UVA doing it, along with other State institutions. Shame, shame! – if supporters of this change are proud of it, then just come out with it!

This change should not even be proposed unless the official definition of marriage is constitutionally changed. Why does our State government want to underhandedly reverse what the people of Virginia voted on with the Marriage Amendment. We, the hardworking tax payers of Virginia cannot afford the higher taxes that will result, despite claims to the contrary. And who’s going to keep track of who moves in and out of a “residence?”

Is this just another “trial balloon” by the left to go around the law, just like they did on the Federal level with the so-called “death panel” idea in the healthcare debate? If you remember, this was dropped like a hot potato when Congress saw the backlash that resulted from opponents.
