It is time for Virginia to act ethically and in accordance with best business practices.  Without providing health coverage for their partners and families, it will grow increasingly difficult to  hire and keep the best employees-- especially, perhaps, at our great public universities.  UVA, William and Mary,  George Mason and all our colleges and universities are currently at risk.  Already at George Mason we have lost faculty because the Commonwealth refused to recognize their families as families.
