I am writing to offer my support for the proposal to expand the state health care plan to permit employees to purchase insurance for an otherwise qualified adult in their household.

There are many good reasons to support this proposal.  There would be no cost to taxpayers, would  make health coverage more widely available in the state and offer the same level of benefits offered by private industry and other states. 

Most importantly, it sends a message of inclusion and social tolerance, something we're not known for.  I strongly support this proposal and urge its swift adoption.
