I am in favor of providing benefits to a non-spousal adult in a family unit.  This would include my same sex partner.  However, I think that I should pay the same additional amount as is paid b a heterosexual legally married person.   I also believe that if I am to be taxed for the implied value of this insurance benefit then all persons with family policies should be taxed in a similiar fashion.
