Please pass this to make benefits available to same-sex partners, people in non-married committed relationships and adult family members in need    Most fortune 500 companies recognize domestic partnerships and allow coverage.  The fact that same-sex partners cannot legally get married has created so many problems for them, this is at least one small benefit that could ease the discrimination they experience.  Furthermore, this would also really help the many unemployed individuals, especially if their circumstances are so that they are all living under one roof, to allow them to provide healhtcare to parents and siblings.
