As the state that first advocated liberty and equality, why has this minimal step to that end taken this long?  As a state (Commonwealth) that has seceeded from the Union once, perhaps it's time for Northern Virginia to seceed from the rest of a backward state that has no regard for the US Constitution provision of Equal Protection.

This action is only fair and just.
