I hope this goes through - one step closer for ALL families to be treated the same even if you call it something else.

For those people out there who are opposed because it will add to the budget - how about you drop your spouse/wife/husband whatever from your current plan to help save some money.

It amazes me how many people are against providing the same benefits to ALL families regardless of the home being heading by two men/ a man and a woman/ or two women - Should you be happy or feel fortunate that these basic "rights" so to speak are given to you because it's the norm?!  No one is trying to take anything from you or force anything on you.  Try treating each and every person with mutual respect.

When is the last time you felt threatened or had to fight for the same basic rights that everyone else has?  Criminals, illegals and now terrorist have more rights than gay men and women.
