My significant other and I have not married because he has a bad credit rating and a felony conviction for writing bad checks that is more than 10 years old. I have excellent credit and no criminal record. I fear that, if we marry, my credit score will go down.
He has a full-time job and two advanced degrees, but no health insurance. I would love the opportunity to put him on my health insurance plan, so I don't have to worry about his health care.
