This legislation is long overdue. It's not about tax dollars, it's about humanity and survival. Workers of the state and an OQA both deserve healthcare. 

Arguments against this bill rest on the "some people matter (heterosexual spouses), and some people don't (everyone else)" reasoning, and that reasoning is not humane. Healthcare is in such disarray right now that it's vital that we address the needs of people within our state on our own. We can't just ignore the health of our residents.
