I sincerely hope this will not pass.  We do not need to be expanding government programs when we are in dire financial difficulty.  In addition, this expense in particular, is not focused on the people espoused by many pushing it, as "elderly parents," etc., but it mainly a domestic partner ploy.  People are certainly free to live as they choose, but I should not be forced to support such arrangements with my tax dollars.
