There is absolutely not reason why this bill shouldn't be supported. It does nothing but provide people with healthcare who may not otherwise have access to it. And everyone deserves healthcare whether their relationships fit the state's definition of marriage or not. Their children should be provided with healthcare. There is limited oppourtunity for abuse, because in order to qualify for OQA the adult would have to have lived in the employee's household for 12 months and would have to be domiciled in Virginia, so therefore taxed in Virginia. A tenant border or roomer would not qualify for as a OQA.

Bob Mcdonell has already approved this framework, and you don't get much more conservative than him. No one in Virginia, regardless of their politics or religion, should have any problem with this bill.
