This proposal is absolutely the right thing to do.  May our "Commonwealth" aspire to its name. 

The exciting part about this proposal is the broadening of ACCESS to the state's healthcare package.  It's not about the state paying for the healthcare, but allowing access to a plan at a more advantageous cost with the individual picking up the entire cost.  Also, this isn't tailored for "domestic partners" but for so many Virginians who live in our homes including elderly parents, adult children, or others that simply don't have access to affordable healthcare.

Make no mistake, unless we keep up with other top institutions we will fail miserably in recruiting and continue to suffer a "braindrain" of some of our best and brightest. Come on, Virginia - think of the future.
