I am opposed to further expansion of state health benefits as proposed by Governor Kaine. It is clearly a violation of the spirit and intent voters expressed in this state by passing the marriage amendment 3 years ago. Question: what would keep a state worker from having 1 or 2 or more unrelated people on his health plan that live in his residence? Another question: how does insuring more people lead to lower cost(s) as Governor Kaine has said? That is illogical and will obviously lead to a ballooning of plan costs and taxes for the rest of Virginians. The health benefits are the for the worker's spouse and children and should remain this way. Thank you.
