This is ridiculous - our state does not sanction same sex marriage --- so why should our health care benefits extend beyond legal recognitioin!  Virginia cannot afford this -- and Gov. Kaine, as outgoing Governor (and Democratic Party Chairman), received a clear message from VA voters this past November  -- clearly he does not have a majority constituency that agrees with this last ditch effort to progress an agenda that is offensive to the people he claims to represent!  And a costly one indeed!
