Objection to Governor Kaines intention to expand Health Care benefits
The proposal to expand health care benefits beyond marriage is a clear violation of the Constitution of Virginia.
Such an expansion of benefits, despite claims by proponents, has to increase the cost of health insurance for the state and consequently, the taxpayer.
As a Virginia taxpayer I stand in objection to this move to provide health care benefits beyond marriage. What are you going to do when a college graduate goes to work for the state and has three roommates - are they going to be covered since they live in the same residence?
Our state is in enough financial turmoil! The government is using OUR money and they should be accountable to the people furnishing the money! This is ridiculous!
Virginia citizens have had to tighten their own budgets, WELL, the governor needs to tighten the states!!!
