The proposal to expand health care benefits beyond marriage is a clear violation of the Constitution of Virginia.
Such an expansion of benefits, despite claims by proponents, has to increase the cost of health insurance for the state and consequently, the taxpayer.
Like the rest of us, let same sex partners pay their way - no special benefits.
I could make a lot of money having people in my house and getting special benefits, though they are not my family. WRONG!
Give healthcare to those that need it - I know a woman who has been sick for a whole year and has gone to several hospitals. They have identified the problem - but no-one , no doctor, no hospital will treat her because she is so sick, she doesn't have insurance. Where is the mercy/compassion for her - yet you want insurance for same sex partners???? And CBN, which sends a hospital airplane all over the world, yet won't get treatment for this woman. To know her, call me at 1-757-488-1891. She needs help. Is Governor Kaine going to help her???? The public health hospitals won't help her either.
